Fade es una serie compuesta por cuatro piezas, realizadas en yeso laminado e intervenidas mediante un buril. Al crear presión sobre la superficie del papel, se rompe la capa encapsulada de yeso, dejando una marca que queda alojada entre las fibras del propio material. Posteriormente, la pieza se entinta y se redibuja, repasando cada una de las incisiones con grafito.

Estas obras forman parte de una investigación en torno a ese instante en el que, al encontrarte en una estancia a oscuras y abrir los ojos, las pupilas comienzan lentamente a dilatarse. En ese proceso, los destellos y las formas de los objetos presentes en la habitación empiezan a revelarse, generando una percepción que se siente casi como una relectura o redibujo del espacio.

En este sentido, la serie Fade opera como una traducción material de ese proceso de revelado visual: las marcas que emergen del yeso funcionan como huellas suspendidas entre lo visible y lo velado, entre lo que aparece y lo que todavía no termina de definirse. Cada pieza captura ese tránsito efímero entre la oscuridad y la imagen, convirtiéndolo en un registro físico y permanente.

Fade is a series consisting of four pieces, made of laminated plaster and engraved with a burin. By applying pressure to the surface of the paper, the encapsulated layer of plaster breaks, leaving a mark that remains lodged between the fibers of the material itself. The piece is then inked and redrawn, going over each of the incisions with graphite.

These works are part of an investigation into that moment when, upon entering a dark room and opening your eyes, your pupils slowly begin to dilate. In this process, the glimmers and shapes of the objects in the room begin to reveal themselves, generating a perception that feels almost like a re-reading or redrawing of the space.

In this sense, the Fade series operates as a material translation of that process of visual revelation: the marks that emerge from the plaster function as traces suspended between the visible and the veiled, between what appears and what is not yet fully defined. Each piece captures that ephemeral transition between darkness and image, turning it into a physical and permanent record.
